The UK’s departure from the EU’s Single Market and Customs Union on 31 December 2020 has brought significant disruption to trade, particularly to the United Kingdom. Freedom of movement to the continent has come to an end.

Exports to the EU due to new borders rules and red tape impacts how British companies provide services and their establishment within the EU, the EEA, and Switzerland: they are now subject to 31 different regulatory regimes, one for each.

As a business trading in Europe, you can benefit from the EU Single Market and from certain trade arrangements with other European countries. You also have different VAT obligations depending on what you sell, to whom, and where the goods are transported to.

Prior to bringing goods onto the EU market, you must ensure that your products meet the EU requirements to protect human and animal health, the environment, and consumers' rights.

An application must be made for every eligible child within a family. Parents should check if they need to apply to the EUSS for their children, even if they have already applied and been granted a status themselves.

As an EU citizen, you have the right to live and move within the EU without being discriminated against on the grounds of your nationality.

You may set up a home in any EU country if you meet certain conditions, depending on whether you are working, studying.

Make sure that employees of UK nationality who are exercising EEA free movement rights in Spain -EEA apply for European (EEA) Permits and Residence Card.
